I’m Kai Miller, the artist and designer behind Star Pudding Design. Growing up in rural Vermont, I developed a deep love for nature, science, and storytelling, interests that continue to shape my art and design work. My surface pattern designs are rooted in close observation of the natural world, transforming small, often overlooked details into paintings, patterns, and drawings. Through this work, I aim to bring beauty and nature into everyday life while fostering a deeper connection to our environment. For me, art is both appreciation and activism serving as a reminder of what’s worth protecting.
Alongside my creative practice, I have over a decade of experience working in mission-driven spaces, including nonprofits and a benefit corporation. I am a former professional athlete and Olympian who brings a high level of drive, focus, and commitment to my work. As a communications professional and former nonprofit program director, I’ve helped organizations connect with their communities and tell their stories. I particularly enjoy using my graphic design skill set to create visually engaging content and materials for mission- and value-driven organizations that reflect their purpose and amplify their impact.
