This month’s pattern has taken me a while to put together and I’ve really enjoyed the process. Each of the flora featured in the pattern was observed on the side of my local road during my Monday walks and later sketched with ink. This is the first pattern in what I hope will be a full collection from my local roadside observations. These walks are very grounding for me and the closest I’ve come to being in a meditative state. I’ve also truly enjoyed getting to know a location so well and watching it transform throughout the year.
